The Best Darn Comedy In Maine

Introduction: Maverick Ashley Lenartson, nee, Little Bo Peep, has been performing Stand Up & IMPROV Comedy since he graduated from The University of Small Minds on Jun 12, 1990. He also attended The Portland School of White Art before finishing up his B.A. in Art from USM! The 1st time Maverick Ashley Lenartson went out to do comedy at a club called McGuillicudies in South Portland, Maine he was very successful & had the audience in stitches and was also making fun of women with boobs after a female comedienne had gone up before Maverick Ashley Lenartson. That was also funny. A comedian who had had a rough time of making people laugh came up to Maverick Ashley Lenartson after his comedy slot and said, "How come it is that you are so funny?" I replied, "Because I am using a set list with specific Topics of interest to me. Thats called a Stand Up Act as opposed to an IMPROV Act which is comedy that one does with No Set List for the evening. Whatever comes out of your mouth is what happens. Its either funny or not. Usually, its not as IMPROV is the hardest thing to do in the field of live comedy sets." He said, "Oh..." and walked away from me. I was happy that I had succeeded at the hardest thing in the world on my first try at making people laugh outloud besides loving myself and being happy that I am alive. The reason I make people laugh? Because I can feel the tension in the room. Doesn't matter if I make one or a million people laugh. As long as I am funny I will do it. If I am not funny, then I still have no choice but to do it because I love putting a smile on another persons face. Its fun to do eventhough it can get me into trouble. Its called being a Practical Joker. I also love it when other people make me laugh after I have cracked a joke! This is how I have learned how to become a funny Stand Up & IMPROVISATION GUY...it really works to make the world a better place especially when you can make someones day...You just never know whom you are speaking with these days. You just never know! I have always wanted to become a Funny Guy ever since I was in Grade School in Eagle Lake, Maine when Kevin was making fun of me in the 8th grade and he cracked a wise joke at me and I said, "Is this why they call you Kimbies? Because you like to wear diapers and crap in them???" The whole class just burst out laughing outloud and that was the end of that conversation that day. I remember it being Sunny outside as the class was lit up really well that day due the the sunlight coming in the windows from The Eastern Side of Eagle Lake Grammar School. However, wearing a diaper as an Adult is funny and I have done this as well on and off stage but its not so funny when you flash your diaper to an 8 year old and you get into trouble with the Portland Maine Police Department..."To Serve & Protect"...more like "To Service & Harrass" 'a funny guy' all over that incident because of the word "EXPOSED". Yes, its inappropriate but at least I know better than to do THAT to a sweet little obese innocent child where I live! She has already seen her parents naked in bed and worse even at that age and I will not go into details about that as I don't know about THAT!
